Our Projects in Nepal:
Through the construction and operation of 19 birthing centers in the western highlands of Nepal, we enable safe, professionally supervised births as well as regular prenatal and postnatal care for mothers and newborns.
We are committed to ensuring that, especially in disadvantaged rural areas, all children have access to education, the quality of education improves, and children are encouraged to stay in school for as long as possible.
We assist families with limited opportunities to grow their own food by helping them establish kitchen gardens, greenhouses, or small-scale livestock farming. We support small-scale farmers with training from agricultural experts to improve their yields and market their produce effectively.
Back to Life works with village communities to build water systems, allowing them to access drinking water directly at taps within their village. Engineers identify the optimal and sustainable water source for each village. These systems operate without electric pumps and are easy to maintain, ensuring long-term functionality.
In the mountains of Mugu, Back to Life organizes annual health camps where patients receive outpatient and specialized medical care, and even surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis.
Back to Life is committed to protecting Nepal’s unique natural environment. Together with village communities, we install solar panels and smoke-free, energy-efficient stoves in their homes. Through community-based initiatives, we support children and young people in advocating for the environment, educating their families and friends, and properly disposing of and recycling waste.
